    >>Are opportunities delivered 24 hours a day?
Yes and No. Only during from 8am - 17pm (EST) are all opportunities pushed to clients. After hours and weekends, only HIGH severity opportunities are push. We store all opportunities regardless for analysis.

    >>Does StockAdvisor consume a lot of bandwidth?
Very little. The system was designed with very tight tight security and bandwidth requirements.

    >>I cannot seem to add the Stock that i need to. The application seems to not recognize it. What do I do?
The initial release of StockAdvisor had a small number of stocks missing from the NYSE and NASDAQ exchanges. We are rolling out a large revision titled 1.1 which will address these issues and add new exchanges. We apologize for the inconvenience.

    >>My application sometimes shows 'Not connected tp TradeOffNews', what is this?
It is a message indicating that the secure tunnel to our servers was interrupted. This could occur for a variety of reasons:
    - IPhone/iPod operating system decide to so some magic cleanup of resources which sometimes see the network stack affected
    - iPhone switches from 3G to WiFi on wake-up that takes a few seconds.
    - iPhone/iPod is put to sleep due to "sleep" button being pushed or 'auto-lockout'
    - network connectivity is lost to TradeOffNews temporarily.

The application will quickly re-establish a connection in any case to reduce any downtime of opportunities and price updates.

In the case that none of the above apply, please post an issue in the forum or email support at tradeoffnews dot com

What ports does StockAdvisor use for connectivity?
We use only port 80 over TCP.

What does the 'Last Trading Day' graph represent?
The graph represents a cumulative price change delta analysis of the previous trading day. Namely, if you look at the x-axis it shows you 20 minute intervals and the y-axis shows percent change. The graph starts at 0% on the first axis point and every point after represents the percent change of the price at that time as it relates to the time 20 minutes before. Essentially, it is a volatility graph whereby alpha and beta opportunities are pegged at points which represent overall increases in price or decreases in price of 20, 40 or x minutes in the future. This graph is used to gauge namely how the opportunities are doing against the behavior of the market. More often and not the graphs profile matches that of a regular stock price graph, but that is due to a mathematical reason.
